WELL, IT’S GONNA BE A BIT TOUGH TO GIVE LESSONS FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE SO i WOULD SUGGEST THIS…
Take at least a few lessons from a person you TRUST and that focuses at least a fair amount on technique and accuracy, imagination and looking at “rules” as “suggestions”. It’s real easy to get to play and not realize, yeah, I can play this now not caring about technique, but what if I want to play something 2 times faster…. that may take forever unlearning and relearning better technique.
And, often there is MORE than 1 “right” way. So, don’t argue, try them all, come up with something on your own.
Good luck and stick with it.
